Work Experience
Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS), incorporating the Leongatha and Korumburra Hospitals, has over many years offered work experience to students from the local area that are interested in a career in health. GSHS is able to offer the following placements, of 1 week to the following schools:

Mary Mackillop Catholic Regional College – x2 single weeks per year

Korumburra Secondary College – x2 single weeks per year

Leongatha Secondary College – x2 single weeks per year

Chairo Christian School – x2 single weeks per year

Mirboo North Secondary College – x2 single weeks per year
Due to increased demand and requests for placements, the availability is limited to these placements and only one student at a time.
We request that all students seeking work experience at GSHS are recommended by their career coordinator/work experience coordinator from their school. Individual requests without confirmation from the school for placement will be referred back to the student’s school.
