What does a Dietitian do?

An Accredited Practising Dietitian provides expert individual nutritional and dietary advice. Dietitians are 100% evidenced based practice.

 

A Dietitian helps people understand the relationship between food and health, enabling them to make dietary choices to get the most out of their lifestyle.

Assistance Available

Individual and/or group appointments are available for clients requiring dietary advice for conditions including:

  • General Nutrition for:

    • Children

    • Teenagers

    • Adults

    • Pregnancy

    • Older people

  • Diabetes

  • Heart Disease

  • Weight Loss

  • Weight Gain

  • Oncology

  • Gastro-Intestinal Disorders

  • Coeliac Disease

  • Food Intolerance

  • Vegetarian Eating

 

Appointments

Appointments are available at both Leongatha and Korumburra campuses of GSHS, or can be made by contacting GSHS Gateway Intake Service.

Referrals can be made by:

  • Yourself

  • Your Doctor

  • Another health professional

  • Family, friends and carers

 

There is a small fee associated with this service.
